Harry Potter advance tickets on sale now

By: Brittney Schering

In the past 10 days, more than 3,300 midnight showing tickets were sold for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One. The advance tickets are now available at all Celebration! Cinema locations. They can be purchased online or at a theatre box office.

Midnight shows in the IMAX theatre at Celebration! Grand Rapids North are already sold out, but tickets can still be bought for opening day and week showings.

The movie was originally slated for a 3-D release, but Warner Brothers opted not to do 3-D at the last minute. However, it will still be shown in both digital and IMAX formats.

Shows are selling out quickly, and more auditoriums are being added to the list as the theatres fill up. For the last Twilight movie, more than 18,000 tickets were sold for the midnight shows alone. Celebration! Cinema is hoping to break the record with Harry Potter.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One, Harry, Ron, and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. Without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. Meanwhile, Dark Forces appear in their midst, threatening to tear them apart.

All show times, ticket prices, and other needed information can be viewed online at http://celebrationcinema.com.
