Wealthy Theatre welcomes Hey Marco! to the stage to present, "The Steely Dan Show" sponsored by the North American Choral Company on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.
Hey Marco! specializes in popular music from the '70s, '80s, '90s, and now. It covers artists from Michael Jackson, Steely Dan, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye, to Peter Gabriel, Billy Joel, Nikka Costa, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, and many more.
The group was formed in the spring of 2007. All of the members were previously part of Shades of Blue, a jazz ensemble at the Grand Rapids Community College. The experience with Shades, under direction of Duane Davis, has driven Hey Marco! to hold very high standards of musical excellence.
The band's leader, Mark Jackson, has performed in New York and London as Tom Collins in the Broadway musical, Rent. He won a Drama-Logue Critic's award, as well as an LA Ovation award for his performance.
